Went into the dealership today to order a 2025 Hummer EV SUV.

Asked for the transparent Roof option and the Team said it looks like it's no longer available as an option for 2025.

I went online to check their configurator and it no longer shows there either.

2024 configurator still shows it as an option.

Anyone know what happened or if you ordered a 2025 and received the transparent Roof?

This may be specifically for Canada as that's where I'm located.

Ya I think its a Canada thing only - on the US GMC site, I can see its available to select as an option. On the Canadian GMC site - its no longer listed as an option.

Sorry to hear that, my 2025 Pickup 3x has the transparent roof and I love it, but to be honest a solid aluminum roof would remove tons of wind turbulence when highway driving.

It wouldn't be a solid aluminum roof. First of all the hummer is made of steel, not aluminum. 2nd without the transparent panels you still get removable panels, just not clear. There is no wind turbulence with any panels. You would need a flexible material like canvas to have wind turbulence.

Let’s not get to this first and last commenting style. I was only responding to your comment, not antagonizing you if anyway. Secondly a lot of people of commented about rattling, creeking and turbulent (wind derived) sounds coming from these panel pieces especially near the latching mechanisms. Next, I don’t care what the top panels are made of, I was just saying if a solid piece of “What the hell ever periodic table metal” would be a benefit in the acoustic dampening of this area of the Hummer.

The rattles and creeking is from the panels not fitting tight and you get that regardless if they are clear or not.

There is a TSB for it, where the dealer will install washers to make it fit tighter. Additionally, many, including myself, have installed shrink wrap on the pins for the panels. Those two solutions solved it for me.

As to wind noise about half the Hummers produced have the windshield clearance lamp module installed improperly, with the gasket sticking out and the panel not sitting flush giving massive wind noise. Dealer will replace under warranty and wind noise goes away.

Thank you for that kind informative response, I actually didn’t know about the windscreen gasketing concern you mentioned above. I will also watch for this. I have seen a lot of small changes though with the 25 models when compared to the 24’s. Like the 25’s not having the rattling issues as GM has properly clearances these panels from the factory/assembly line.
