Tesla has really taken over the headlines with the Cyber Truck over the past month. However, I'm still not a fan of the looks.

Good comparison video of the Hummer EV, Rivian R1T, and F150 Lightning from Out of Spec Reviews.

Another breakdown/comparison video from E for Electric:

Interesting thoughts/review on the Cyber Truck from James May

I had a regular Foundation Series Cybertruck for about 3 months. Wrapped it in white gloss PPF. But got rid of it after I test drove the Hummer EV 3x SUT. Basically did an even trade while Cybertruck prices were still hot.

Things I liked about the Cybertruck
- buying direct from Tesla. Awesome experience
- amazing phone app, that actually works
- amazing technology inside. Out of this world compared to other brands.
- I really like the steer-by-wire feel and not having to do multiple turns of the wheel
- it drove VERY smooth and felt well-built. No rattles or unusual wind noise.
- the glass was very thick. It would be incredibly difficult to break in.
- I liked not worrying about door dings when going to Costco
- the power tonneau is amazing. very useful.

Things I did not like
- too much strange, sometimes dangerous attention on the road
- the steel is very challenging to keep looking nice. That's why I paid thousands of dollars to wrap it.
- Wrapping creates new problems.
- VERY dangerously sharp edges. You can cut your hand and legs on every corner.
- I have a scar on my leg from trying to step into the bed
- the frunk doesn't really store anything useful
- odd error codes randomly on cold mornings. errors about towing, when I wasn't towing.
- incomplete features. you pay for full self-driving, but it doesn't even have basic autopilot.
- felt very sterile. no personality while driving it. Yes, the exterior is desperate for attention. But driving it is too civilized.
- lots of battery drain. Up to 7% gone in a day, just sitting there.

Things I like more about the Hummer
- feels VERY exciting to drive
- much less attention on the road
- better driving dynamics and features overall
- about 100 miles more range
- much easier to maintain the exterior
- very rugged and easy to clean interior
- will be appealing to drive for many years. Not a gimmick.
- zero battery drain

Things I miss about the Cybertruck
- mostly the phone app and interior tech. The Hummer EV's phone app is basically non-functional.
- steer by wire is very sweet. I miss that.

If the Cybertruck were $50k, I'd say go for that. But for 100k, the Hummer is no comparison. It is significantly better overall.

I honestly was torn. Never owned a Tesla. Put $100 down on 11/19. Pit $1000 in July to order. Received a vin. Realized they didn’t lease at all. Also put $100 on a Hummer in past. Great lease came up. Plus they gave me $6500 because I waited. Lost my $1000 on CT. But so far I’m tickled w the Hummer. I still think what could have been. Was probably a few weeks from Beast. Maybe in a few years. But the Hummer looks amazing and drives amazing. I was so impressed w CT software. Anyway I appreciate your unbiased insight. The Hummer is almost underrated to me. And the range and super cruise has been so good. Thanks

This is the best review/comparison I have read yet! Thank you!

The side profile on the Hummer is just so much better looking! I doubt many Cybertruck owners would agree, though!
