Hitch Brand and drop?

What’s everyone’s go-to hitch brand, and what drop are you typically running for your trailers? I’m trying to get a sense of what’s most popular and reliable out there, so any suggestions or insights are appreciated!

Interested! I tried a 6" drop that I already had and it was not enough. Probably need at least 8". Maybe more.

I haven't been towing much lately, but I like the protection that a hitch provides for minor fender benders. I have had a hitch save several bumpers from people rolling into me at stoplights or in parking lots because they weren't paying attention. So, instead of running a hitch, I picked up a hitch-mounted bumper step. I really like the matte textured finish and look of the ORWORKS Bump Step.

I looked into hitches again that are long enough to clear the spare tire on the SUV, and it seems 8” drop BulletProof Hitches are a popular choice. They provide 16” of length from the shank to the ball.

I could see the need for the length, but I think an 8" drop is way too much, especially since the HEV has adjustable air suspension. I would think a 4" to a max of 6" would be plenty.

Yeah im trying to figure that out also? i thought when it is put in Tow Mode it drops?
