Hummer EV Battery Swap

Ever wondered what it takes to do a full battery swap? These pictures give you an inside look at the process. As per the FB post, the battery arrived in about a week and installation took just 2 days.

That doesn't look nearly as deconstructed as I would have thought!

Looks like a fairly simple swap. It will be interesting to see what GM charges for a refurbish battery pack in 7-10 years when they need to be replaced.

Did they happen to tell you the cost of the replacement if you had to pay? I get a lot of warranty work on my Cadillacs and I always ask. They just replaced the transfer case in my CT6 under warranty, which was $3800. That's why I'd never own one out of warranty.

I've read the battery for the Hummer is currently $36,000

And why did they change the battery, is the car still new?
