Ok so the answer is… you get BOTH. It turns out that while they use the same slots, the lights come with a couple of trims to account for having the sound system and not. If you don’t, it’s mostly a black plate. If you do, it’s an outline. Works perfect and very smart / well thought out. .

Adding the tailgate audio system on along with the illumination package I’m assuming just deletes the tailgate lightning that comes with the package is that right? Anyone have both optioned? Thanks.

I am fairly certain one of the more technical videos on YouTube states it it lowers automatically about 2” at highway speeds. It’s possible since the air suspension moves pretty slowly, it’s not noticed.
